Abstract
Arteriovenous fistulas of head and neck, especially those of the external carotid artery are uncommon lesions usually of traumatic origin. They also may be spontaneous, inflammatory, or congenital origin. They may be accompanied by symptoms and signs such as pulsatile tinnitus, pulsatile mass, palpable thrills and machinelike bruits. Recently, we experienced a case of spontaneous arteriovenous fistulas of external carotid artery with pulsating tinnitus, treated by transarterial coil embolization. But Arteriovenous fistulas were recurred, so we reembolized fistulas with coil by transvenous approach successfully. Therefore we report this case with literatures review.
